I agree with you on the service there. I've emailed the "manager" Peter Kang a couple of times with no response. Peter Kang obviously has no skills as a manager - oh well. I carbon copied the managers at College on my second email and still nothing. No problem, there are plenty of other restaurants to spend my money at. Let's just hope when Peter gets fired for incompetence, he doesn't end up where I am!

I couldn't agree more with your thoughts on tipping. It's unfortunate though that in a group situation, everyone's views clash on tipping and the people who tip based on ACTUAL service (not on 15% automatic) are the ones that get ripped off or roped into leaving more than they feel the service was worth. I have left $10 tips on small totals in the past because the service was beyond excellent. But if the service is bad (especially if the server's demeanour is terrible, or the food is awful and the mistakes not corrected), I'll leave no tip. Tipping should 100% be based on the quality of service and not be considered a given.

Whoa, nice comments box! Looks sexy :)

I agree! The staff at Daavid's is really knowledgeable without being pushy or preachy. When I go in all I have to tell them is what flavours I like and they can instantly rattle off a dozen teas I might like (usually right)!
